Supplies ionic copper, ionic cobalt, and selenium at levels compatible with the animal’s daily requirements for up to eight months.

COSECURE Sheep boluses are not a registered medicine, such as require authorisation by the HPRA
There is increased risk of copper toxicity associated with housed sheep and certain sheep breeds.
As Thiomolybdate (MoS4) will first deplete copper in the rumen and, if there is not adequate copper there, bind to copper in the blood stream, it is vital that the bolus copper becomes active in the rumen. This is where Cosecure boluses are active.
Some capsules deliver copper in the form of copper oxide. However copper oxide requires a low pH to become active. As the normal range of rumen pH is higher, between pH 5.5 and 6.5, it is chemically impossible for copper oxide to become active here. Copper oxide only becomes active in the abomasum (which has a pH range of 2 to 4), where it may simply be absorbed into the body and cannot stop the thiomolybdate uptake into the blood.

Our COSECURE soluble glass boluses supply rumen-available ionic copper, ionic cobalt and ionic selenium, at a controlled and constant rate, for up to 6 months in cattle.
Dissolution of bolus over a number of months
The bolus dissolves at a controlled and constant rate for up to 6 months in cattle, continuously delivering essential trace elements to the animal
With their unique rumen-available ionic copper, they both treat and prevent copper deficiency.
What’s more, they are also suitable to both prevent and treat Thiomolybdate Toxicity (TMT), which is caused by sulphur and molybdenum absorption and is often mistaken for copper deficiency.
Our Cosecure Cattle boluses are the only multiple trace element boluses which are registered as LM in Ireland and POM-VPS in the UK.
Indications: For use in areas of copper and selenium deficiencies and for the improvement of cobalt supply
Copper
Cosecure Cattle boluses have a unique ionic copper formulation, which is highly effective at treating and preventing copper deficiency. The unique, ionic copper is rumen-available , which allows the boluses to also treat and prevent a condition called Thiomolybdate Toxicity (TMT) which can be detrimental to fertility, thrive and productivity. Thiomolybdate Toxicity is caused by molybdenum and sulphur absorption and is often mistaken for copper deficiency.
Selenium
Selenium deficiency can result in White Muscle Disease, impaired reproduction, reduced immunity and reduced milk production.
Cobalt
Cobalt is required for the production of vitamin B12, which is important for thrive and fertility. The body has no capacity to store cobalt, meaning cobalt must be continuously supplied.
Our COSECURE1 Cattle boluses contain:
Meat & Milk Usage:
Meat, milk and offal may be used directly after administration

Always consult your prescriber prior to using boluses.
1. Cosecure Cattle Legal Category: UK: POM-VPS, Ireland: LM
Our COSEICURE soluble glass boluses supply rumen-available copper, cobalt, selenium and iodine in ionic form, at a controlled and constant rate, for up to 6 months in cattle and up to 8 months in sheep.
Dissolution of bolus over a number of months
The bolus dissolves at a controlled and constant rate for up to 6 months in cattle and up to 8 months in sheep, continuously delivering essential trace elements to the animal
Indications: For supplementation of animals at risk from copper, selenium and iodine deficiencies, and for the improvement of cobalt supply
Copper
COSEICURE boluses have a unique ionic copper formulation. The unique, ionic copper is rumen-available.
Selenium
Selenium deficiency can result in White Muscle Disease, impaired reproduction, retained placenta, reduced immunity and reduced milk production.
Cobalt
Cobalt is required for the production of vitamin B12, which is important for thrive and fertility. The body has no capacity to store cobalt, meaning cobalt must be continuously supplied.
Iodine
Animals deficient in iodine can suffer from a range of problems, including poor growth, weight loss, impaired reproductive health, reduced bone growth, decreased milk yields, calves born hairless and lambs born weak or dead.
*COSEICURE boluses are not a registered medicine, such as require authorisation by the IMB
Our COSEICURE boluses contain:
13.4% Ionic Copper
0.50% Ionic Cobalt
0.15% Selenium
1.00% Iodine (as calcium iodate)
Meat & Milk Usage:
Meat, milk and offal may be used directly after administration
Farmers and vets who use our unique and revolutionary boluses know all about that.
The world’s only soluble-glass boluses, they use a unique delivery technology which supplies trace elements to cattle, sheep and lambs at a controlled and constant rate for several months.
Our COSECURE cattle boluses are the UK’s only licensed POM-VPS bolus and Ireland’s only licensed LM bolus. They supply the same levels of ionic copper, ionic cobalt and selenium to cattle every single day for up to six months.
COSECURE Sheep and Lamb boluses, which deliver the same levels of ionic copper, cobalt and selenium every day for up to eight months in sheep and six months in lambs.
COSEICURE boluses which deliver copper cobalt and selenium for up to 6 months in cattle, up to 8 months in sheep.
